Zero Maintenance - Corrosion Resistant - Long Life Cycle
FRP composite log camels (also known as pipe camels) have been designed to protect wharves and piers from the damage that can be sustained with vessel contact. The fiberglass structure is maintenance-free and unsinkable.
The exterior of the camel is a seamless outer skin of HDPE for abrasion resistance. There are no joints or gaps for water to collect. The interior of the tube is filled with closed cell polyurethane foam and ballast. The pipe camel attaches to the pier using eyebolts or chain passing through two stainless steel Hawse pipes.
FRP composite pipe camels are available in diameters up to 36 in. and lengths up to 50 ft.
Composite Advantage's FRP material makes it especially suited to waterfront infrastructure applications that require corrosion resistant, long lasting, high strength, and virtually maintenance free products.
