Location: Springfield, OR

Project: Rosa Parks Bridge

Product: Pedestrian Bridge Decking

Overview: The City of Springfield wanted a longer-lasting deck product than traditional wood for a small bridge on a pedestrian path. The bridge was an old railroad trestle. Since the deck supports were closely spaced, a thin deck could be used. The lightweight deck panels were installed with light equipment and connected with screws recessed in the top surface. The non-slip overlay is safer for pedestrians and joggers than wood planks. This bridge is 75 feet long by 12 feet wide, for an area of 900 square feet.
