Structural Panels
Our Specialized Molding Techniques Make The Difference
 |
Need a large structural composite panel that can withstand the pressure? We manufacture load bearing composite panels that are especially suited for customers facing weight constraints or corrosion issues. Corrosion resistant and lighter yet stronger than traditional materials, our products offer a dynamic alternative for containers, walls, floors, walkways, storage sheds, equipment pads and trench covers. |
Composite Advantage panels feature:
- Solid laminates or sandwich construction with fiberglass skins surrounding a fiber-reinforced-foam core
- Panel thickness and lay-up determined from structural analysis to ensure the right amount of material is used to meet load requirements
- Solid laminates available in sizes up to one inch thick
- Sandwich skins that vary from 0.075 inch thick to 1.0 inch thick with foam cores available in sizes up to eight inches
- Foam that can be reinforced with fiberglass to provide excellent shear strength and crushing resistance
- Ultraviolet inhibitors added to the resin provide long term resistance to outdoor exposure
- Fire and moisture resistant resins
- Color pigments tailored to customer preference
- A variety of surface textures
- Panel sizes that range up to 52 feet by 14 feet
- Cost effectiveness (reduced installation costs) and structural efficiency (fewer joints)
As light as one-fifth the weight of concrete, our composite panels reduce or all but eliminate the need for heavy-duty installation equipment normally required to manipulate and place pre-fabricated structures made from traditional materials. In many cases, our composite panels can be placed by hand.
At Composite Advantage, we’ve used our experience and knowledge to develop new approaches to Vacuum Infusion and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) processes. These innovations allow us to manufacture cost effective, high quality, very large composite parts that simply can’t be built elsewhere.
We determine panel size by fit and installation requirements. Call us today and let us show you what we can do.
